Matadors Community CU has four youth account options to help youth of all ages to begin to save and meet their financial goals.

For Teens 17 Years and Up

Start your teen on the right financial path! Teach them how to manage a checking account before they go out on their own. Your teen must be 17 years old to apply for this account. Parent or guardian must be joint owner until teen reaches 18 years of age.
No monthly service charges!
No minimum opening balance
No minimum balance required
Unlimited check writing
4 free non-MCCU ATM withdrawals per month
4 free lobby transactions per month, then low $2 charge per transaction
Online and Mobile Banking and Bill Pay
eStatements and eNotices
Unlimited no-fee ATM transactions at MCCU or over 30,000 CO-OP ATMs.
Shared Branching at 5,000 participating CO-OP Shared Branches
Converts to Free Checking account when teen turns 18 years old

For Youth up to age 12:

The best time to teach kids about saving is now! Their very own Little Savers account will help do just that. Your child will learn the importance of saving, and how deposits and interest help their account grow!
Low $5 minimum to open and earn interest
$10 membership fee waived
Parent, Legal Guardian, or Immediate Family Member (with verbal or written consent from parent or legal guardian) must be joint owner
Online/Mobile banking (at discretion of joint owner)
Account will automatically convert to Teen Savers account once child turns age 13

$20 daily withdrawal limit
Unlimited deposits
Teen Savers Checking Account (at age 17)
Must have joint owner until age 18
MasterMoney Debit Card (at age 16)
